Challenge
Market-moving conversation was fragmented across public venues with no consistent way to quantify it.
(BP® — the problem)
Sentiment lived in millions of unstructured comments across disconnected platforms, where aliases, noise, and coordinated activity made it impossible to turn discourse into a signal that could be measured, compared, or settled.

(BP® — solution)
Turning unstructured discourse into a measurable signal layer
In most markets, attention is visible but unmeasured. Conversation moves faster than price, yet it lives in threads, comments, and posts that no system reads consistently. As volume grows, that information becomes noise.
The solution is not to collect more data, but to restructure how it is interpreted.
Instead of isolated scrapes, ingestion is built as a continuous pipeline where sources, entities, and scores are connected. AI is introduced not as a classifier bolted on top, but as part of the interpretation layer — resolving entities, detecting stance, and scoring attention in real time.
In practice, this means designing the engine around a few core principles:
continuous ingestion instead of periodic snapshots
entity resolution linking mentions and aliases to canonical assets
sentiment and attention scored within the same time window
deterministic outputs that can be audited and replayed
A key focus is removing ambiguity from measurement. Signals are built with defined logic, so the same window produces the same score regardless of who reads it. That consistency is what makes sentiment usable for settlement rather than commentary.
Source context plays a critical role. Rather than treating every venue the same, models are calibrated per platform and per asset class — accounting for tone, format, and the coordination patterns specific to each community.
Over time, the output shifts from description to signal. Instead of reporting what was said, the system reports how fast attention is accelerating, which narratives are forming, and where crowd belief is moving — as it happens.
The result is not just sentiment analysis, but an execution-grade data layer — where public discourse becomes a scored, time-stamped input that products can be built on.

(BP® — client review)
We treated sentiment as infrastructure, not analytics. The result is a signal reliable enough to build a product on.
